§ ·Manuscript and export
The manuscript
Read and correct the folder's pages like in a text editor, with the typewriter's look.
The Manuscript view (⌘4) shows the open folder's pages as text you can select, cut, copy, paste and correct, with the same typeface, ink colours, paper and line length as on the machine. Changes go back into the machine's sheets a moment after you stop typing.
Pages side by side
The Pages key: One Page, Two Pages Side by Side (like an open book) or Many Pages (small pages, as many across as fit, for a quick look over a whole chapter).
Zoom
The Zoom key, ⌘+ / ⌘− / ⌘0, or pinch. Fit Width fills the window's width; Whole Page fits a page to its height; or choose a size from 50% to 300%.
Margins
With the guides on, each page's ruler has red margin arrows you can drag, as on the machine. See Margins and line spacing.
Typewriter feel
Settings › Manuscript: Typewriter Sounds plays the machine's sounds as you type here, and Typewriter Backspace makes Backspace behave as on the machine.
Page breaks
A page you started on purpose (a new sheet) begins a new page in the manuscript too. Text that filled a page flows on to the next.
